Pioneer of Caribbean Fashion Development
Considered to be one of the pioneers of Caribbean fashion industry development. Christopher Nathan, founder and Chief Executive of Coco Velvet International Fashion and Model Management is on a mission to position the Caribbean fashion brand in global apparel markets and establish Port-Of-Spain as the region's fashion capital.

In 2000, Nathan was recruited to join a production management team in Jamaica for the launch of Caribbean Fashion Week. In 2005 he started lobbying the government of Trinidad & Tobago for Fashion to be designated an industrial/economic sector for national development, that goal was finally achieved after years of advocacy in December 2011. The following year (2006) he initiated and set up the Caribbean Academy of Fashion & Design at the University of Trinidad & Tobago.

Christopher Nathan is currently conducting doctoral research for a Ph.D in Circular Design and Sustainable Apparel Manufacturing while developing an industrial standard for Sustainable Garment Manufacturing for the Trinidad & Tobago Bureau of Standards; the Standard will be the first of its kind.

He holds a Master of Science Degree in Manufacturing Management, Innovation and Technology/ professional certification in Ecosystem Services Valuation, Sustainable Development and Ethics from the universities of Copenhagen, Manchester and Geneva.

She is a StartUp Mentor who has provided insights and guidance to StartUps in Mexico, Peru, and has been invited as a Business Angel on their International Business Angels Panel to Unicorn Battles Pitch Contests, organized by StartUp Network from California, United States.

She provides training as International Certified advisor to Fashion and Service based businesses, also in the Hospitality business as Certified Hotel Management Advisor.

Her workshop topic which she will present is about Growth Strategies for Fashion Businesses in 2023. She is the CEO of ActiV International Trade Services C.V in Curaçao.
Mrs. Jeanette Bonet is the interim CEO of CINEX- Curaçao Investment & Export Promotion Agency. She has 25 years of leadership service to Curaçao's Hospitality, Tourism, and Investment sectors. Mrs. Bonet is a member of the Curaçao International Financial Center (CIFC) and a member of Rotary and a Paul Harris fellow.

She serves as a board member of Downtown Management Organization (DMO), and a board member of the Small Medium Business Association (ADECK). Mrs. Bonet served as President of the Supervisory boards of the Curaçao Tourism Development Foundation (CTDF) and the Curaçao Hospitality & Tourism Association (CHATA).
​
She served as a board member of Curaçao Business Association (VBC) and until recently for nine years, she served as elected board member of the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce (KvK).
